Visit Lake Como: Villa Fogazzaro
Visit Lake Como means not only visiting amazing places on the Lake Como side but also what is around. One examples is Villa Fogazzaro Roi (Lake Lugano).
The Villa Fogazzaro Roi overlook the Italian side of Lake Lugano and represented a place of peace and inspiration for Fogazzaro (italian writer), where he spent the pleasant summer holidays. The writer from Vicenza composed his most famous novel, " Piccolo Mondo Antico" here. The Villa was built on an existing building dating back to the sixteenth century. The nineteenth-century villa exhibits features both of style and proportions. The rooms are small in size, probably due to the location of the building, built against the slope towards the lake. In 2006, the villa was donated to FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano, which can be translated in Environmental Italian Found).
