Lake Montorfano is a lake located in the province of Como. Wets the municipality of Montorfano. The lake is contained in the regional Reserve Lake Montorfano. The lake is part of a group of lakes briantei enclosed between the southern margins of the Como lake in an area known by the name of “Triangolo Lariano”, ranging from Como, Bellagio and Lecco.
Lake Montorfano is a lovely stretch of water placidly amidst the moraines of the upper Brianza Como, the smallest of the lakes briantei, the small size increase the charm of the luxuriant nature that develops on the shores, and encloses in a few tens of hectares a rich heritage of natural and anthropogenic which make it a territory of extraordinary interest. With the intrinsic scientific value the reserve adds a good propensity to educational and recreational activities. In the area it was in fact established a intense frequentation of recreational, blessed by its proximity to urban centers in addition to the beauty of a picture landscape.
